It may seem a little weird or maybe even radical, but we need a reset, to refocus...our Christmas.

This Christmas and maybe Christmasses for the foreseeable future will look much different than most. No tree(s)...no lights... no parades...no gifts... and definitely no Santa.

I think the reason for the season gets lost in all the Christmas happenings. If I'm being honest with myself, there's been very little "Christ" in my holiday's past. He's represented, of course- but maybe not like He should be. Too much focus on the perfect tree. Too much effort put into stringing lights. Too much time spend shopping for everyones perfect gift. Where is the focus, effort and time for Christ? Definitely not enough of it for a holiday that is supposed to represent Him and his birth.

So, I'm shifting.
Food, fellowship, and the story of Jesus.
That's it.

Jesus is the LIGHT.
Jesus is the JOY.
Jesus is our GIFT.
Jesus is the BREAD.
Jesus is the REASON.
This is my conviction.

If there is any witness under the sun, moon and stars, let my soul witness as to the great and powerful love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The second man Adam, a quickening Spirit. Always drawing us near, for the deep calleth unto the deep. Unto you, my Lord, I am forever grateful that you became the propituation for my sins, and as I was a sheep going astray, but now have been returned to the Shepherd and Bishop of my soul. From everlasting to everlasting. My Lord, with humility and yet some boldness through my faith, I speak of this witness today.
