Hello, Pastor Robert L. Lay Jr. here, how is everyone? Blessed, I pray! Well, here is a little bit about myself. I am the oldest son of a Pentecostal Preacher. Raised in the House of God and ran from the House of God. And now, I've RAN BACK TO THE HOUSE OF GOD! To find the only True Friend that will stick closer than a brother.
I have been the Pastor of the New Covenant Tabernacle Church for the last 7 years, after both of my parents went home to be with the Lord. I've seen my fair share of troubles, but I have fought the good fight of Faith. So no matter the battle the Lord said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. The Lord called me in the summer of "03", and he said to me Ephesians 4:12. You will have to look it up, because they said for me to keep it short. Lol!
After that Easter Sunday when the Lord called me, I have never looked backed! So will you follow me back to the House of God?

I was raised in a home with Christian parents. My dad was a Pentecostal preacher. I went to church my whole life. God called me to preach in 2005. My reading was very poor and I went to my pastor that I had at the time and asked him "how would I know if I was really called to preach?" He told me that I would know. I argued with God about it and I told God if it was his will for me to preach he would have to teach me, and he did.
My current wife is a retired school teacher, she told me it was just a miracle from God that I could read. I knew at the time it was, God has richly blessed me.
MISSION STATEMENT
As we sit here today, not knowing what tomorrow holds or even the days and months ahead, I am reminded of God's word found in the book of Deuteronomy 31:8.
And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee, he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee, fear not, neither be dismayed.
One thing we can be sure of is that Jesus said, "I will be with you always". The same can be said for New Covenant Tabernacle Church; we will be here for you to help you Spiritually. You see, we also need the support of each other in this life's journey to reach the ultimate prize that has been set before us, and that is to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
